Breaking news: A boy was shot to death at Hilltop, beside UNN Main campus

The residents of Hilltop, beside the University of Nigeria, Nsukka Main Campus, were surprised to wake up this morning, 15th January, 2019 to be greeted with the death of one of the

Hilltop Neighbourhood Watch Men guarding the residence by name Abuchi Ngwoke (alias Robinho).

According to the news, the unsuspecting man fell into the hands of yet to be identified armed bandits who shot him at close range and ran away leaving him dead. It was said that he received a call after he had finished eating with his parents. He came out shortly preparing to resume duty when the unfortunate incident happened.

He was shot at the neck and died instantly before help could come his way. The said victim is in his late 20s.

He has been known to be very industrious in the neighbourhood helping the residents to repair their electricity problems.

Nweke Ugochukwu Thankgod (NUT) warned UNN students to curtail their movement at night especially in areas where security is not guaranteed.

Currently Security agencies are being deployed around Hilltop for investigation. Based on this, Nweke Ugochukwu Thankgod (NUT) enjoined UNN student most especially those residing around hilltop to be mindful of their movement at night so as to avoid harassment or Maltreatment by the Security agencies.
