The Chaplain, Very Rev. Nneoyi U. Arikpo and the Associate
Chaplain, Ven. (Prof.) Jacob Onyechi were sent Forth yesterday, 23rd
Sept. 2018.
The Send Forth services started by 8am. In attendance were
two Presbyterian Bishops, Most Rev. Onyeuwaoma and the representative of the Prelate
of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, His Eminence, Nzie Nsi Eke.
The Chaplain and his Associate were appreciated for the
duration they were at the helm of affairs: 5 years & 2 years respectively
in Christ Church Chapel. They were given gifts from various Organisations and
prayers were offered for them. The high point of the Sent-forth Service was the
gift presented to the Chaplain by Christ Church Chapel, a brand new highlander
jeep.
After all, the chaplain appreciated the Council, Christ
Church Chapel, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of
Nigeria, Nsukka; Prof. B. C. Ozumba and his wife Pharm (Mrs.) Ozumba for their
fatherly/motherly care towards the Church. The Chaplain went on thanking individuals
and groups for their corporation throughout his stay in Christ Church Chapel. He
did not fail to ask for forgiveness from those he might have offended or stepped
on their toes during the time he was the Chaplain. “To err is human, but to
forgive is Divine.” he reiterated.
He concluded by making prophetic declarations upon Christ
Church Chapel, University of Nigeria, Nsukka and every personality that
attended the Sent- forth Service.
